Katrina Wreede

My Goldfish Died-Blues for Strings

Wreede offers one-hour to three-day clinics for string programs, elementary through high school and college, introducing string players to the basics of the blues by learning “The Goldfish Blues”—“my goldfish died, oh, my goldfish died”.

Students of any level can learn to play the 12-bar blues form, bass lines, backbeat, melody and harmony lines. Middle and high school students will be taking solos at the end of an hour session! Works best in classes of 10-40 students. Please request perusal scores for either advanced (middle, high schools) or adjusted (beginners and elementary).
